President Muhammadu Buhari would be departing Nigeria for London on Friday for medical treatment.
The Presidency, said the trip was a scheduled medical trip, a development which has remained a regular occurrence since President Buhari assumed office six years ago.
Femi Adesina, the President’s spokesman, announced the development, in a terse, two-paragraph statement, on Thursday, stating that the President was due back to the country in the second week of July.
The statement read: “President Muhammadu Buhari will proceed to London, the United Kingdom on Friday, June 25, 2021, for a scheduled medical follow-up.
“He is due back in the country during the second week of July, 2021.”
