The former Provost of College of Education (Technical) Kabba, Chief Osadumo who was kidnapped about two weeks ago has been hit by bullet in exchange of fire between vigilantes and his abductors.

Chief Osadumo was kidnapped two Sundays ago from ECWA Church in Okedayo-Kabba, Kogi State, where one person was killed, and his wife and other worshippers were shot.

Since then he has been in his abductors custody while ransom was being demanded before his release.

Kidnapping has increased phenomenally since the Kabba prison break as poultry farmers were abducted from their farms in the same community.

Sources said the kidnappers were trailed to a forest in Ogori Magogo community in Kogi Central Senatorial district.

The Kidnappers reportedly opened fire after sighting the vigilantes which necessitated a return of fire and chief Osadumo was eventually hit by bullet in the process

Osadumo’s remains which was recovered has been deposited at the Ogori General Hospital by the vigilantes.

The wife and the other students, who were shots during the Sunday service, are still recuperating in an undisclosed hospital in the state capital, Lokoja.
