Suspected bandits have kidnapped scores of people and killed former Sole Administrator of Dogon Dawa Development Area in Birnin Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Idris Adam Damari
A resident of the community, Mallam Yunusa Idris told DAILY POST in Kaduna on Tuesday, that the bandits attacked the Damari community on Sunday night, shot indiscriminately, hitting Damari in the process.
He said scores of people were kidnapped as residents in the community were confused as to which direction to run.
He told our correspondent that the bandits coordinated themselves and stood in strategic positions to capture anyone who ran in their direction while the sporadic shooting continued.
He said the bandits are yet to contact the family of those abducted or make any ransom demands, adding that Adam Damari has been buried according to Islamic rites.
He also revealed that the bandits took over Damari, Randagi and Kakangi villages all in the Birnin Gwari area and attacked with impunity
The Police Public Relations Officer( PPRO) in Kaduna, ASP Jalige Mohammed when contacted over the incidents said he would react as soon as he gets the full details of the attacks.
