Why we suspended our Youth Leader – Labour Party

The Labour Party LP has given reasons for the suspension of the National Youth leader of the party Mr Aragbe Anslem.

Mr Aragbe Anslem who was suspended for six months is a Senatorial Candidate in Edo State.

Briefing journalists in Abuja, the National Publicity Secretary of Labour Party Mr. Arabambi Abayomi explained that Mr Anslem was involved in misconduct contrary to the Labour Party Constitution.

According to Mr Abayomi, the suspended Youth leader forged the signature of the National Chairman and National Secretary.

The party also accused the suspended Youth leader of launching a fund mobilisation website to receive funds without the approval of the National Working Committee.

The National Publicity Secretary of the Labour Party stressed that Aragbe Anslem remained a Senatorial Candidate of the party in Edo State despite his suspension as Youth leader of the Party.

Mr Aragbe Anslem was suspended on the 20th of October following the submission of report of misconduct against him by the party’s disciplinary Committee.

Meanwhile, the Acting National Youth leader Prince Kennedy Ahanotu has charged Nigerian Youths to sustain their supports for the Presidential Candidate of Labour Party Mr Peter Obi and his running mate Mr. Datti Baba-Ahmed for the party to become victorious in the 2023 General Election.
