The Dangote Cement Plant Obajana in Kogi State has named the Electrical Department of the company as the winner of the 2022 Wall of Fame scheme, while describing it as the most collaborative department in the year under review.
Speaking at a special lunch to mark the event, Plant Director Mr. JV Gungune said the department emerged victorious largely due to the effort of the Head of Electrical Department, Mr. Karuthiah Velu, and his collaborating team.
The Plant Director urged the department not to relent in its effort, adding that the company is efficient when there is intra and inter departmental collaboration.
He urged other departments to emulate Mr. Velu’s team work and in the discharge of their duties.
According to him, by collaborating, “each team member eliminates other’s weaknesses and multiplies each other’s strength.”
Speaking, General Manager Human Resource Department Engr Haruna Adinoyi, said everyone makes unique contribution to the success of an organization.
He urged them to embrace the Dangote Cement core values of customer care, entrepreneurship, excellence and leadership quality.
The Wall of Fame Scheme was inaugurated last year by the plant Director to further motivate staff in their performance.
