The Organised Labour in Kogi State says it has extended the ultimatum give to the state government to implement the N30,000 minimum wage by another seven days
The notice of extension on the earlier 14 days ultimatum expected to expire in the midnight of Friday 11th February, 2022 is contained in the workers bulletin released today in Lokoja.
According to the Organised Labour the 7 days extension is to allow the negotiating team conclude its assignment.
“Consequently upon this, it is expedient to give additional time to enable negotiating team conclude the assignment in line with the provision of the Trade Union Act.”
“The SEC – IN – SESSION of the Organised Labour has approved an extension of Seven (7) Day Ultimatum starting Midnight Friday 11th February 2022 and ending Midnight Tuesday 22th February, 2022 to enable the Negotiating team condude the negotiation.”
The Organised Labour saluted the cooperation of the entire workers to the struggle and urged them to remain steadfast in their prayers and solidarity so that the outcome of the negotiation would be fruitful and beneficial.
It also urged the workers to remain in their offices and be law-abiding while they await further directive from the Organised Labour
