The national leader of All progressives Congress, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has defeated 14 other presidential aspirants to clinch the ticket of the party for 2023 election.
This followed the party presidential primaries that started on the 7th to 8th June, 2022 at the Eagle Square in Abuja.
Tinubu polled 1,271 votes to defeat his closest rival, Rotimi Amaechi who scored 316 votes.
The vice president, Yemi Osinbajo scored 235 votes to place third
However, the President of the Senate, Ahmed Lawal scored 152 votes to place fourth
Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello polled 47 votes to come fifth
