Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello has reaffirmed his determination to foster a united, secured, and peaceful Kogi State, where the purpose of existence is not defined by class, tribe, or religion.
Governor Bello stated this on Thursday evening during a meeting with members of the National Assembly from Kogi State at his residence in Abuja.
The Governor urged the members, led by Senator Isah Jibrin Echocho representing Kogi East, to work together in synergy for the overall interest of the state. While acknowledging that the primary responsibility of federal legislators is to make laws for the progress of the nation.
Governor Bello emphasized that their common membership in the ruling All Progressives Congress party provides an opportunity for collaboration and advancement of Kogi State’s interests in the National Assembly.
During the meeting, the senators, who were accompanied by the ministerial nominee from Kogi State, expressed their gratitude to the Governor for his role in the nomination of Shaibu Abubakar Audu as a ministerial nominee.
They assured Governor Bello of their unwavering commitment and cooperation towards making Kogi State a better place
The delegation included Senator Isah Jibrin Echocho representing Kogi East, Senator Sunday Karimi of Kogi West, and Senator Abubakar Ohere of Kogi Central senatorial district.
