The chairman of Kogi State Assembly Commission has felicitated with the state government and people of the state for recording another milestone in her journey of statehood
In his felicitation message, the Commission chairman noted that the State has justified the purpose of her creation, noting that the achievements recorded so far are tremendous.
“As the People of Kogi State mark the thirty second year anniversary of the creation of the State, there are a lot to appreciate God for in the journey so far”
Alhaji Andas commended the Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello for his purposeful leadership and urged the people to continue to give him the desired support to achieve more.
“On behalf of Members, Management and Staff of the commission, extol the giant strides of the governor who through dogged efforts and resilience worked to bring the State to its current Status”.
Recalling the journey from Kwara and Benue States where Kogi State was carved, Alhaji Andas said the State in thirty-two years has recorded tremendous achievements in all sectors considering that it started from the scratch and today can stand tall in infrastructures and human capital development.
He posited that the support and understanding of all, irrespective of class, status and creed have in no small measure contributed to growth of the State this thirty-two years, soliciting the continuous understanding of the people as the state move to another political sphere of her life.
The Commission Chairman who was full of praises for the founding fathers of the State, paid glowing tribute to them and expressed optimism that the State will yet witness outstanding results having laid strong foundation for its growth.
He on behalf of Members of the Commission commended the Governor of the State for his tireless efforts in ensuring that Kogi State is recognized and positioned to attract development that could transform the socio-economic life of the people.
Alhaji Andas noted that with the current commitment of government and well meaning people, the State would rank among the leading States in the country in term of all indices of development.
He called on the people of the State to continue to support the All Progressives Congress and ensure the election of it’s candidate, Alhaji Usman Ododo in the November 11th governorship election to ensure the continuation of the trajectory of development witnessed in the last seven and half years.
