Presidential Aspirant of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Ahmed Bola Tinubu has declared that his Presidential
ambition is a serious issue which should not be taken for a joke.
The presidential hopeful stated this when he paid a courtesy call on the Oba of Benin, His Royal Majesty, Oba Ewuare II on Saturday in Benin City, Edo State Capital.
Tinubu was on ground in Benin City , Edo State capital in continuation of his nation wide tour to meet party’s delegates ahead APC presidential primaries.
According to the two term governor of Lagos State said, “Your Royal Majesty, I want to be President; And I am not joking about it. I know what your prayers and blessings mean”.
The national leader of APC, also asked the monarch to pray for him to emerge as Candidate of his party during the primary election and emerge as the President of Nigeria in 2023.
The leading aspirant who said he is not a stranger to the palace, noted that he is a son and inlaw to the Oba.
He said had visited about 34 states of the federation, promising to replicate the transformation he did in Lagos to other parts of Nigeria
Amongst the party bigwigs who accompanied him to the palace were the former national chairman of APC party, Comrade Adams Oshiomole, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, Pius Odubu, former Edo state deputy governor, Hon Samson Osagie, Hon Momoh Abubakar among others
