The Senator presenting Nasarawa South senatorial district in the National Assembly, Alhaji Tanko Almakura has charged APC stakeholders in the district to adopt internal mechanism that will ensure peaceful emergence of party officials in the forthcoming Congresses.
Senator Almakura stated this while addressing stakeholders during an enlarged stakeholders meeting in Lafia the Nasarawa State capital on the rescheduled ward and Local Government congresses of the party
According to him,
consultation, transparency and fairness are the major tools for conducting congresses to select leaders that would be acceptable by the people.
He called on the aspirants to consider the strength and unity of the party above every other interest and be deposed to dialogue and consensus to achieve peace and success during the congresses.
Highpoint of the meeting was selection of ten persons from the five local government areas that make up the Nasarawa South Senatorial District of Nasarawa State to oversee the conduct of the congresses in the zone.
