The national leadership of the people’s democratic party PDP has canceled the 3 man ad hoc delegates ward congresses held in Ekiti state last week.
The party, after an emergency stakeholders meeting has also decided that the state’s governorship primary election shall be conducted using the statutory automatic delegates list.
The resolutions signed by the national chairman of the PDP Dr. Iyorcha Ayu and the national Secretary, Senator Samuel Anyanwu however directs that all parties to the issues withdraw the court cases they had instituted or face disciplinary action.
Some governorship aspirants of the party led by former governor Segun oni had protested the alleged hijack of the ward congresses by former governor Ayo Fayose, which led to the emergency stakeholders meeting.
